We had a family night with all the kids on Monday. We played capture the flag. It was fun as long as the big guys played. Little ones really got into it then. I hope it might get started as a neighborhood fun like it was on Lincoln street in Murray where we lived when Glen and Brent were pre-teens. They were the organizers and neighbors from far and wide came to play in the evening. Their version was called "Ditch". What were the rules? Maybe one of them will post them. It is so good to see kids running and active and not in front of the TV. By the way, Dr. Laura is pushing a new book. "How to raise fit kids in a fat world" Sounds like a good one. One has only to sit in front of WalMart for five minutes to know it is definitly a "fat world".

Veda: One day after my first "brain jam" I was walking into Wal-Mart. I looked up and without thinking said in a very loud voice, "Everyone is fat!!" Kaylee turned to me and said, "Shhh, Mom. Be nice!" (One of my new "quirks" is to not be able to filter what I say.) We have laughed and laughed about that. I guess when your brain goes funny, you're more honest.
